STOP YOUR WAGES BEEN SLASHED BY 25 %
The corrupt Dublin Government are in talks with the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the ECB (European Central Bank) on a bailout package that will destroy Irelands’ Economic Independence.
If the IMF comes into Ireland they will cut public-sector wages by 20 - 25 % and welfare payments by 30 – 35 %. These will be ruthlessly applied and will impoverish struggling families, pensioners and home-owners.
They will also sell off most of Irelands’ semi-state bodies such as An Post, Coillte, the ESB, Bord Gáis, Dublin Airport Authority, Bord na Mona, RTE, Eirgrid, Bús Éireann and Iarnród Éireann; while privatising Hospitals, Schools and institutions like the OPW (who manage all state-owned properties).
This will mean that the entire national infrastructure of Ireland will be in the hands of foreign owned companies.
The IMF will also cut the minimum wage, which could fall to as low as € 5 to € 6 p/hr; and wages in the private-sector could fall as much as 40%, as thousands of more workers will become unemployed.
Draconian taxes will rise, while new taxes such as property-tax, water-tax, child-tax, refuse-tax and transport-tax, will be introduced to help subsidize the reckless banking industry, and to pay back foreign bond-holders and the ECB.
WE CAN STOP THEM
Ireland doesn’t need to be dictated to by the EU or the IMF. There are many viable alternatives for boosting Ireland’s economy, for creating employment and bringing Ireland out of recession.
Manufacturers in Ireland have already stated they can create 300,000 new jobs in a three year period, if they are given the leverage to reduce costs to make their products more competitive against foreign imports. That can be achieved simply through the abolishment of Employers PRSI and the reduction of Rates on businesses involved in manufacturing and production.
That alone will guarantee Irish wages, increase government exchequer funds, and increase Irelands’ GDP by € 20 to € 30 billion in a very short period of time; through the rise of exports and a renewed vibrancy of our domestic market.
At present there is less than € 20 billion in circulation in the Irish economy. While at the height of our economic boom that had risen to € 27 billion, changing hands an average of 7 times annually, giving Ireland a GDP of € 189 billion in 2007. At present Ireland’s GDP has fallen to about € 140 billion.
Along with the € 20 billion in circulation, the Irish banks are hoarding a further € 10 billion in their vaults, starving the cash flow of Irish businesses. This has led to a collapse of a huge section of our domestic market. The Irish Central Bank is hoarding € 20 billion, while the Irish Pension Investment Fund has invested over € 15 billion in foreign banks, bonds and financial-markets, while our own economy is being starved at the behest of Europe.
You may ask where the € 40 billion bailout to the banks is going: into the hands of foreign banks, investors and bondholders; and Ireland will see none of its fruits, yet must pay back every penny with 6 – 8 % interest.
SIMPLE ECONOMICS
If the corrupt Dublin Government had given every Irish citizen € 5,000 to spend on Irish products, to set up businesses or pay off personal and private debt, it would have been more beneficial to the Irish economy than bailing out the banks; and in the long term far more rewarding for the growth of Irish industry and our economy.
All the bank bailout has achieved is the acceleration of cash out of the Irish economy, and the collapse of Irelands’ domestic market. Unemployment and emigration continues to rise, and the government is becoming more inefficient on a daily basis.
We must organise to stop the corrupt politicians from their total incompetence. The IMF will destroy the Irish economy, which is the agenda of the EU; whose only desire is to protect the Euro and the markets of countries such as Germany, France and England.
Irish workers shouldn’t have to endure wage or service cuts to subsidize German and French bond-holders or a corrupt banking system. We need to build a strong Irish economy based upon manufacturing, production and the support of Irish industry, tourism and our national infrastructure.
